Cigarettes After Sex is again one of the most awesome bands I discovered last year whose music I'd describe as "Eargasm". With their latest release, Crush, just two days ago this definitely had to be the next one on Musical Esoterism. A Texas based band formed by Greg Gonzalez (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar) with Phillp Tubbs (keyboard), Randy Millar (bass guitar), and Jacob Tomsky (drums), it plays a unique version of ambient pop with a gloomy and dark yet pleasant background and mostly lustful lyrics. I cannot think of comparing their style to any other band so far. They give a deep-well surround effect with the keyboard which marks their signature. This dreamy music style was discovered by Greg while playing music on a four-story stairwell at the University of Texas where he thought of mixing the echoing sounds into the music. The bridge part in each song is brilliant.
